SightsUnforeseen

SightsUnforeseen is a series of four, steel and mixed media sculptures focusing on the consequences of racial and economic inequities in our society. Bad behaviors often grow out of impoverished conditions, especially when accompanied by lack of family structure and educational stifling. Incarceration is a simplistic solution to eliminate behaviors that have cross lines into criminal acts. Yet artists are often the first people to cross those lines. Without generational support, equal privilege, access to education and financial resources, creativity can just as easily end up in unforeseen outcomes.
